Operating Knowledge Studio™

The practice

Working with David Lema on the knowledge behind your team's work.

I am the person who works with you.

I am David Lema. Operating Knowledge Studio develops the knowledge and working-context approach I use in my practice for a broader range of charity work.

I offer funding-focused work through Grant Resource Studio and support a wider range of organisational work through Operating Knowledge Studio.

The funding knowledge work began inside Early Years Cocoon, a small community interest company. That is the origin of the method. Its case study concerns funding work and does not establish results for the wider engagement proposed here.

Test the wider work with a team.

Funding knowledge, working-context routines and selected connected workflows are in use in my practice. The wider engagement for another organisation beyond funding has not yet been run.

The broader work starts with a bounded implementation and an agreed test of whether your team can use and maintain it. In the first conversation, you and I discuss the recurring job, the information it depends on, who owns it and what must stay outside the tools.
